Today's big event was the "Amazing Race" around Auckland! We divided our 32 students in 5 teams, each headed up by a Delegation Leader, and ran all over the city looking for clues. We stopped at the Mission Bay Women's Bowling Club to learn bowling, or bocce ball as we call it in the States. (Not exactly the same we we play it, Ozzy and Bobby...sorry.)

Our next clue lead us to Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Aquarium

We then ended up at Britomart Trainstation, where we had lunch and completed several "Detours," which included getting random pictures from all over the city of Auckland (pictures to follow later). We went on a trek to the Maritime Museum, and finally got our last task back at the Britomart: find enough people to weigh until you reach 1000 kilograms...

We were successful, received our last location, and my group was the first to make it to the top of Auckland's Sky Tower!

At night we got to meet with a member of New Zealand's biggest rugby team, The All Blacks. Sam Tuitupou came to talk about the game and his experience as a professional rugby player on one of the top rated teams in the world.

What is Tigera doing in Auckland? Where did he get that cool sea blue hat? Very niiiiiiiice. In other news, the Mets took 3 of 4 from the Phightin Phils to move within 2.5 games of first place. Also, the Midwest has been officially washed away due to flooding leaving only the St. Louis Arch to serve as a land bridge between the eastern and western portion of the United States, much like that which connected modern day USSR with the former Alaskan Republic back in the 50's. Take care of yourself! I look forward to more blogging and more insane comments in response to said blog.
You got the kids to take a "#1" Picture in the skytower?? You are awesome, Jim.
Sea Isle misses you! Hope you're having fun!
